Emergency Medical Services for Residents of Centre Township

Please be advised that at the regular meeting held on October 7, 2025, the Centre Township Board of Supervisors made the decision to not participate in the Perry County EMS Consolidation Commission at this time.
This decision was reached after a thorough discussion concerning the anticipated costs to the township residents and the uncertain nature of future changes to emergency services under the proposed consolidation.
The Board of Supervisors reaffirms its commitment to providing reliable and effective emergency medical services. To that end, Centre Township will continue to support New Bloomfield EMS for Basic Life Support (BLS) and UPMC Life Team for Advanced Life Support (ALS) for all residents. This course of action ensures continuity of care without the need to create an additional Emergency Services Tax in Centre Township.
To ensure our local EMS agency remains strong and well-supported, we strongly encourage all residents to join the New Bloomfield EMS Annual Membership drive. Your membership is a critical contribution to the health and safety of our community.
